Tackle Football:Fall 2011	Triton Football is a successful tackle football program that has competed at the highest levels in Eastern MA. Your child will receive excellent instruction and learn proper tackling and blocking techniques from our highly qualified coaches. At all levels, football is full contact and both practices and games can be intense. Please be sure you and your child understand the nature of this sport before completing your registration. * Refund Policy

I acknowledge that I have until May 1, 2011 to withdraw my child from the program at one half the initial registration fee. I also accept and understand that the total registration fee will only be refunded if our legal residence is no longer within the Association’s boundaries, if my child does not qualify for participation for reasons of age, weight on the league weigh-in date, and/or any unforeseen medical condition develops prior to the start of the season. Otherwise, ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS will be allowed.

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
The essential elements of character building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and core principals: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these ‘six pillars of character.” I THEREFORE AGREE: 1. I will not force my child to participate in sports. 2. I will remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for youth and not adults. 3. I will inform the coach of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my child or the safety of others. 4. I will learn the rules of the game and the policies of the association and league. 5. I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials, board member, volunteers and spectators at every game, practice or other sporting event. 6. I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of un-sportsmanship-like conduct with any official, coach, player, board member, volunteer or parent such as booing and taunting: refusing to shake hands, or using profane language or gestures. 7. I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well being of the athletes. 8. I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence. 9. I will demand that my child treat other players, coaches, officials, board members, volunteers and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, sex or ability. 10. I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game or his/her performance. 11. I will praise my child for competing fairly and trying hard, and make my child feel like a winner every time. 12. I will never ridicule or yell at my child or other participants for making a mistake or losing a competition. 13. I will emphasize skill development and practices and how they benefit my child over winning. I will also de-emphasize games and competition in the lower age groups. 14. I will promote the emotional and physical well being of the athletes ahead of any personal desire I may have for my child to win. 15. I will respect the officials and their authority during games and will never question, discuss or contact coaches at the game field and will take time to speak with coaches at an agreed upon time and place. 16. I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco and alcohol and I will refrain from their use at all sports events. 17. I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices, unless I am one of the official coaches of the team.

* RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT

Triton Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading Association is committed to provide safe, modern equipment to its football players and cheerleaders. The parents of our players and cheerleaders MUST ALSO SHARE THIS COMMITMENT. The cost of outfitting a football player/cheerleader is well over $250.00. In order that the burden of equipment and uniform replacement be borne by those responsible, we will require that the parent or legal guardian of any player or cheerleader found to have willfully and intentionally damaged Triton Pop Warner’s equipment or uniforms, be responsible for the equipment and/or uniform repair or replacement. We will also require that the parent or legal guardian of any football player or cheerleader be responsible and replace any equipment or uniform that has been lost by their football player or cheerleader. Triton Pop Warner requires that the parent or legal guardian be responsible for returning all equipment and uniforms at season’s end at the time and place designated by the Association. Failure to do so will require that the parent or legal guardian be charged the fair market value for replacing all outstanding equipment and uniforms.

4. Report Card All players need to turn in a complete Report Card from the last full Scholastic Year

What to Expect Next

PARTICIPANT	PROGRAM	What to Expect
Joe Player	Tackle Football	Practices will start on August 1st and be held at the Central Street Fields in Byfield. Please plan to arrive at the field at the time specified by your coach and be sure to have all required paperwork turned in or your child will not be allowed to participate. It is important that you provide an updated and correct email address and telephone number to the program as soon as possible. The primary method of communication between coaches and families is email. Your coach will contact you initially by email to introduce himself and provide important information about the start of the season. This contact is usually made in the June time frame but may be sooner. If you have not heard from your coach by mid July, please contact a board member.

Your registration is not complete until the documents listed below have been received by the organization!
