6. User's Tip:  Paper Skewing

One of the more frequent adjustments needed on thermal printers is to correct paper skewing.  More prevalent on wide-bed thermal (20" display) than on the GSP-1086 series, paper will wander or drift to the left or right.

Using a 3/32 right angle hex wrench, open paper feed chamber and locate the paper support blocks.  On the paper support block there is a 3/32 set screw.  Keeping bare hands away from the printhead, advance the screw upward into where the end cap of the paper roll would be.  This procedure will create drag on the end cap causing the wandering paper to pull towards that block and straighten out the record.
