In this Issue:
Along with four other manufacturers: Benthos,
Datasonics, EdgeTech and ODEC, EPC participated in the first Massachusetts
Ocean Technology Network (MOTN) Trade Mission. The group held
conferences in QingDao and Shanghai over a one week span April
19-23 prior to the Oceanology International Pacific Rim Conference
in Singapore.
Each manufacturer gave presentations to 70-80
customers in each city. We also held one-on-one conferences and
participated in banquet dinners and luncheons. In QingDao
the group was welcomed by the Mayor of the city. In Shanghai
the MOTN was the first foreign visitors to visit the Yangzte River
model at the Shanghai Institute of Waterways.

At the OI Pacific Rim Conference, EPC announced
a service agreement with China-ORES. China-ORES will act as
a service center for all EPC Graphic Recorders in China. With
offices in QingDao, Beijing and Shanghai, China-ORES will be responsible
for sales, technical support and all service related matters.

EPC is pleased to announce the appointment of
Aquamap (Charlston, SC) as a sales representative for the EPC product
line. Aquamap is a full service company offering geophysical
services and systems to commercial, academic & governmental
communities. Mr. Richard Dentzman is a Marine Geologist/Geophysicist
with over six years of field experience in offshore projects.
Aquamap also represents CODA Technologies, EdgeTech and Submetrix.
They will be responsible for sales and support in North Carolina,

EPC is updating the latest software revision to
fix minor bugs and add new features. Updated features will
include Panel Locking, RS-422 Support and Scroll Speed Function.
Software Revision C-3 will be on the web site later this month.

Applied Acoustics Engineering (Gt Yarmouth, England)
recently took delivery of two GSP-1086-2s. The recorders are
to be integrated with a 1000J Sparker System and a 1000J integrated
Boomer /Sparker System. The end customers are in India, the
National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), in Madras; and the
National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), in Goa.

The EPC web site made its debut over 3 1/2 years
ago. As one of the first marine manufacturers to aggressively
pursue marketing their products on the web, EPC has closely monitored
the effectiveness of our web site. In the month of March,
1999 the EPC web site had 301 different visitors, up significantly
from 258 in February and 214 in January. The EPC web site
was designed and is maintained by MariNet "Marine technology
