3. Alden Electronics Is Shut By Sheriff

The Worcester County sheriff has shut down Alden Electronics (Westboro, MA) and seized its computers, satellite dishes and other weather-gathering devices.  The seizure came in response to a lawsuit filed over failed payment of rent.  For years, the Alden Electronics line of thermal printers were the main competition for EPC Labs, Inc. in the U.S.   The Alden Model 9315CTP competed directly against the EPC Model GSP-1086 Series and more recently, the Model HSP-100.  EPC is aggressively pursuing options to support and replace the Alden product line. http://www.telegram.com/business/alden.html
