Marketing efforts to sustain EPC's dominant market
share in the oceanographic industry, and increase the company's
presence in emerging imaging markets, can be seen in the increase
in advertisement. In the first two months of the year, EPC has committed
to advertising schedules with five different publications: Sea Technology,
Hydro International, Underwater Magazine, Advanced Imaging and Backscatter.
The aggressive strategy is summarized by Sales
& Marketing Director, Ted Curley "We would like to maintain
our strong position in the survey industry while pursuing new markets.
Thermal printing has a huge potential in markets outside of our
traditional niche." Continuous gray scale printing is used
in medical imaging, satellite imaging, surveillance, reconnaissance
and industrial imaging.
