4. Media Alert: EPC In Five Publications!

Marketing efforts to sustain EPC's dominant market share in the oceanographic industry, and increase the company's presence in emerging imaging markets, can be seen in the increase in advertisement. In the first two months of the year, EPC has committed to advertising schedules with five different publications: Sea Technology, Hydro International, Underwater Magazine, Advanced Imaging and Backscatter.

The aggressive strategy is summarized by Sales & Marketing Director, Ted Curley "We would like to maintain our strong position in the survey industry while pursuing new markets. Thermal printing has a huge potential in markets outside of our traditional niche." Continuous gray scale printing is used in medical imaging, satellite imaging, surveillance, reconnaissance and industrial imaging.

EPC is pleased to announce the hiring of a new sales representative. Oy Meridata Finland Ltd. will represent EPC in Finland. Meridata is one of the few manufacturers of multi-channel echo sounder systems for shallow water bathymetry, and has delivered MD 300 series bathymetry survey systems to numerous hydrographic survey organizations in various parts of the world.

Meridata's MD DSS is a multi-mode sonar system that serves a variety of applications ranging from marine seismics through Chirp sub-bottom profiling to surficial sediment surveys. MD DSS offers support for EPC's GSP-1086 series recorders, and is the most complete sub-bottom survey and processing package available from a single manufacturer.
