In addition to offering thermal printers and acquisition
systems, EPC also offers several print utilities.
Image Processing Utility:
The EPC Image Processing Utility (IPU) is a Windows
95/98/NT image processing utility designed and developed by Chesapeake
Technology, Inc. for EPC Laboratories, Inc. The IPU application
allows EPC thermal recorder users to load, manipulate and print
almost any standard graphics imagery file to the EPC GSP-1086, EPC
9205 and the EPC 98xx thermal graphic recorders. The IPU also imports
several industry standard sonar and seismic data formats for instant
view and playback on the EPC printers listed above.
This NT parallel printer interface service is
for the 1086 Series, 9802, 9205 and ADS-640. In addition to
supporting NT applications with a kernal mode device driver, this
high level library is also compatible with WIN32 console, MFC abd
WIN32 SDK applications. The library contains a set of functions
that ease the communication with the NT printer service. The
library also supports normal print IO under Windows 95.
The auto Command Software was designed for providing
Model 9800, 9801 and 9802 operators the ability to do the following:
| 1. |
Control the Scan
, Key, and Delay rates of the recorder from a Personal Computer
(PC). Create and utilize up to 10 different Key/Print
(Key/Gate) Programs. |
| 2. |
Print Messages,
events, and external data on the recorder. |
| 3. |
Integrate with navigation
systems and other serial-based equipment to automatically execute
the functions mentioned in 1 & 2. |
| 4. |
Trigger the functions
mentioned in 1 & 2 based on a set time interval. Items 3
& 4, above, are the primary features of the AUTOCOMM program.
It is these features that make the function of the program unique
